About the Space
“If these walls could talk, they still wouldn’t, because what happened here stays here” – so goes the legend of North Beach’s Tosca Cafe. An infamous dive bar that opened in 1919 and played host to beat poets, vagabonds, dancers, artists and other assorted celebrities and characters over the years, it was reborn as a still-iconic restaurant in 2013. This is a truly San Francisco joint, with excellent Italian food and all the flavor of the original space, in both style and energy.
